Virat Kohli is a ‘Modern Day Hero’ says Australian legend Steve Waugh

Former Australia captain Steve Waugh has said that Virat Kohli’s new approach gives him confidence to cross any hurdle in the Indian team. Steve Waugh is making a documentary showing the love of Indians for cricket and this time he has praised the leadership of Virat Kohli. The documentary is being produced under the title “Capturing Cricket: Steve Waugh in India”. This time Steve Waugh also mentioned about his experience when he first came to India.

“Virat Kohli’s new approach is creating a habit in the Indian team of overcoming every obstacle and it is being overcome without fear of the opposition,” said Steve Waugh. He also said that Virat Kohli has changed the mindset of the Indian team.

“One thing everyone likes about Kohli is the new approach, even without fear of the opposition. He has given a new mantra that he can achieve and accept every challenge that is possible. It’s like a giant modern day hero, “said Steve Waugh.

Steve Waugh, meanwhile, recalls that when he first came to India in 1986, he was shocked. “I had a big cultural shock when I came to Bombay at that time. There were just people everywhere. Seeing cars, bikes, animals and rats and cats running on the sidewalks made us wonder where we came from. I felt like I was in a different world and it was all shocking, “said Steve Waugh.
